EOS and other console – Output Merging


Hello,

This month I will present ETC EOS and lighting fixtures Set (6-10 DMX universes). Also MA will be present to playback already programmed show. How to do LPT merge from both consoles? How/What same protocol they can “speak” to each other (network (artnet?), …)?. What kind of a device to do LTP merge do You recommend?

    There aren't actually any devices that can do an LTP merge between disparate consoles.

    In ETCNet2 and ETCNet3/Streaming ACN, we have the concept of "Priority" - this is where you can decide which source is the most important.

    Unfortunately MA Lighting havent yet implemented Streaming ACN into their products, so you'll have to use Art-Net.

    Art-Net only supports an HTP merge between two sources - it doesn't do priority or handle more than two sources.
