Help tips for Offset tools

I was reading the [Help] tips on Nomad today to get up to speed on all of the options there. These [Help] tips need some editing, such as changing some hard [brackets] to {braces} and correcting "thu" to [Thru].

I've also discovered that the [Help] example for {Even} gives an incorrect set of channels. It says, "[1] [Thru] [1] [0] [0] {Offset] [5] {Even} [Enter] selects only the even numbered channels from every fifth channel between channel 1 and 100 (6, 16, 26...96)." when the channel selection should be (2, 12, 22...92).

That's because they are applied in order, so 1 Thru 100 Offset 5 = 1,6,11,16 etc. If you then apply Even to that you get 6,16 etc.

Then perhaps I found a bug. When I typed 1 Thru 100 Offset 5 Even, I got 2, 12, 22, etc. I added a photo to my original post.

I see what you're saying. Either way, neither of those selection really makes much sense anyway because it's a bit ambiguous as this has proved!

was there a flexi mode? if there was a fleximode that didn't have channel 1 on screen, that would explain everything you see.

No flexi mode. I'm in flexi all. I think the channel selection (2, 12, 22...92) is correct; it's the example in the [Help] window that's incorrect.

Offset applies the even command first followed by the offset, which results in 2, 12, 22... 92.

If you wanted 6, 16, 26... 96, you could type Chan 1 Thru 100 Offset 5/3 Even.

We'll get this note in to update the help text. (Edit 5/18/17: Implemented in 2.6.0, currently in beta)
