Nomad as DHCP server

 A quick one...

Running Nomad on PC, and want to have the console manage DHCP so I can use an wireless AP without an additional router.  Although options show in shell, it seem like this is not configurable.

Is it possible to use the nomad PC as the DHCP Server?

    Hi Chris,

    You would need to install Net3 Gateway Configuration Editor (GCE) onto your PC. It's available through this link: www.etcconnect.com/.../Features.aspx

    With that software open, pull down the Network menu and select "Configure Network and Services". Click on the tab "GCE Network Selection". Make sure that GCE is using the Primary Network Interface that you want.
    Then, select the tab "Network Services". You'll see that the first thing listed is "Address Service (DHCP)" with a Start button. Press that guy, and you'll be in business.

    I should note that by default, GCE hands out IP addresses starting with IP 10.101.50.101, Subnet Mask 255.255.0.0, Gateway 10.101.1.1. If you need to change those settings to be compatible with your computer / lighting system, that's done in the "Advanced Options" area at the bottom of that "Network Services" tab.
