Offset and Sub-Groups

This is a magic sheet view of a big array of LED pars (circles) and Mac Auras (octagons):

G409 is sub-groups of each column, from left to right.

I am trying to get a selection like this:

G409 Offset Odd Gets me:

G409 Offset 2 gets me:

G409 Offset 2/2 gets me:

So offset odd is really close, right? It's just 205 and 207 that are wrong. Are they in a subgroup as well?

Yup. They are in the sub-groups along with everything else and I just confirmed they're in the right subgroups. And it is really close. But I suspect. it's only close by chance because the channeling lines up so that in most cases (except G205) the numbers all aligned. You know? So 401 Thru 539 +205-208 Offset Odd would look identical to this, right?

You can't subgroup subgroups which is what you're running into here... It's just treated as a straight channel selection. The Offset Odd (Group 409 Offset Odd - Chan 205 Thru 208) is probably the best way around it, or patching the auras so they line up odd/even wise with the rest of the columns.

Hmm. Ok. I was afraid of that. Re-numbering the Auras might be a convenient solution for the column selection, but what happens when I want to do the same idea with every other row? or every other diagonal line? Obviously, without the ability to truly subgroup subgroups, I guess i'm out of luck. I'll probably just have to make more distinct point groups that already have the different variations I'm expecting to use.
