Connecting an ION to the Tutorial visualizer the nomad in mirror mode?

If I'm understanding - you want to run Capture on your laptop as a visualizer and you are using an actual console, with the laptop and the console on the same network?

If so, you don't need to run Nomad on the laptop. Capture should take the output from the console directly (via sACN).

Specifically I want to run the stand alone visualization etc provides for their video tutorials. Can that be done through savings? Do I need any additional software to make that happen?

The visualizer is a stand-alone executable file, so it runs without needing any other software. Just follow the instructions for setting up the console on this page:

Do you also have a console on the network, or is ETCnomad your only control surface in this scenario? If it is just ETCnomad then you don't want mirror mode- but rather want "Offline with Viz."
