Edit existing SkyBar EXA in library

SkyBar EXA Manual Rev B (Web).pdfI purchased some Blizzard SkyBar EXA's knowing they were already in the library (I checked quickly) however now that I have them and getting them ready out of the box for two events starting next Thursday I have discovered they are wrong in the library; apparently the fault of Blizzard lighting.

I have attached the manual I need hoping something can be done however not to sure since it's a holiday week. I have managed to get them working very basic. I tried to edit the 11 channel to make the correct 12 channel but can't delete some of the features. I will try to create a whole new fixture but lots of entries.

Whatever you can do is appreciated. Will most likely use the 12 channel mode for these two events.

A note: I think you should keep what's in the library as it is for those who have the older version of the same fixture and add the same fixture but add this to the name "AnyFi". It appears they changed the fixture WiFi abilities and as well changed the channels. I didn't know that when I talked to them about the AnyFi. They just said they changed the WiFi features and added WDMX. Well now that I look at the old manual on line (also attached for your comparison) and the new one with AnyFi on it I see big differences through out and the fixture is still the SkyBar EXA.

So to be clear: there are two manuals attached; one old version fixture and one with AnyFi. I need the AnyFi added to the library. The older version manual that DOES NOT show AnyFi on the front page is for your reference to compare what is already in the library. Why did they do this to us??????

Sincerely

Jeff Toussieng

SkyBar EXA User Manual Rev C with AnyFi (Web).pdf

  • New info. I have built the fixture in my ION and discovered many of the features shown in the manual don't do anything when selected AND it also appears the dmx ranges are off sync with actuals. ie: Auto 1 appears to be running the selection just before it that is NOT an auto run selection and Auto 5 does nothing. So that means they are shifted up one level. However watching the colors the auto runs are supposed to be doing don't match on any of them.
I connected the fixture patched 1:1 with all channels as a dimmer and connected a DMX tester to it to view output of each channel and the fixture does the exact same things when in the same ranges as the user guide show; which includes being off track and many of them nothing at all happening.
I also see the two manuals appear to be quite different in more ways than just the channels. For example they say the fixture has a lot of channel count selections. Typing this right now I don't have the manual with me but I think it was 4, 6, 7,9 and 12 channel selections and I like the 9 channel because it includes strobe however the fixture only had 3 selections; I believe it is 6, 7 and 12. NO 9 selection.
So I have sent emails to Blizzard to find out what is going on. I would say hold on with this until they can get all of it clarified.
  • Update. Blizzard has discovered there is definitely something wrong in their new fixtures; probably a wrong firmware or something. Therefore this is definitely on hold and I am out of luck. But once it is resolved I will repost with the correct info to be added. Yikes....
