Stop a running effect temporary while playing back the background Cue

All;

I recorded an effect into a basic cue with others channels level in background,  the box of external link will contain " E#" on this particular cue.

If I would like to run only the background channels level on stage instead of an effect running together, hence I try to enable the "Solo Mode" in that cue list. It seems not working for this opeartion. I know the " Marco #" or " Snapshot #" would be temporary separated from that Cue if " Solo Mode" is enabled.

Is there any way to stop a running effect from channels level of background cue keep on stage?

Thanks

  • Kelvin.... if you have the effect recorded into your cue, but you don't want the effect to run, you need to remove the effect from the cue.   As it is part of the cue data......

    We show the effect number in the execute field as a way to know what effects are running in the cue (although it isn't actually part of the data included in the "execute" instruction.... which includes snapshots, macros and links to other cue lists).  The intent of the "Solo" function is for multiple programmers on the system.  Generally, toward the end of tech, when the show is going to go to one programmer, the main programmer (who will stay with the show) will sync secondary cue lists to his, allowing him to hit one go button.

    Placing a cue list in solo mode excludes it from automatically executing by this synchronization.  Its purpose is to allow the second programmer to pull his list out of the control of the first programmer so he can work with it if necessary.   Does that make sense?

    Hope this helps.
