Snap shots ???

could someone point me to the instructions for Snapshots?  They're not in the index of the manual (current or draft).  I think I would find them useful . . .

Are they similar to presets (ie output looks), or console settings?

 thanks.

  • Snapshots are console states.  Think of them as a picture of the way the screens are laid out.  You can have different layout for doing different things at different points in the production process.

They may not be fully implemented in the ION as they weren't supposed to be part of that package.  they are a part of the EOS Software, so they are in there, but I haven't had time to play with them enough to tell you off the top of my head how to get into them.

  • Andrew, as Jeff indicates, Snapshots are not supported in Ion, but they are in Eos.  To record a snapshot, press [Record] [Snapshot] [4] - the CIA will post a selection of contents for the snapshots (by default, we assume you are interested in storing the entire state of the facepanel and monitor layouts).  But via selecting and deselecting tiles in the CIA, you can exclude the various portions of the console.

    Hope this helps.
