Control COLORrail 26 Channel

I have a series of COLORrail 26 channel led bar lights patched into an ETC ION board.  I'm trying to figure out how to control the colors of the individual sections of the light.  One such light is patched in on channel 101 and has a DMX address of 100-125, I understand that channel 1 of the address (100) controls master intensity and channels 101 thru 103 control RGB values for the first section, currently I can set RGB for the fixture as a whole but I can't seem to find where I would control other sections individually without re-patching as a fixture other than a COLORrail 26-Channel.

  • You would have to change stuff. There are two options:
You edit the personality. Currently you see multiple sets of Red Green Blue. You want Red Green Blue, Red2 Green2 Blue2,...
Or you create a personality that has only the stuff that belongs to the whole light in it and patch it e.g. as 101 and then use Generic RGB for the each cell and patch those as 102, 103, ...
Both methods have advantages: one keeps your Live tab clean but makes it a bit harder to control cells because you need macros to copy colors to all cells or work with encoders or ML control for each cell.
The other method blows up your live tab but makes it simple to handle all the cells.
