2.6 also unlocks a substantial amount of functionality for Element.  Please check the release note and Element supplement.

ETC is also going to only two levels of output for all devices, base and unlocked.  The release note covers the various pieces of hardware and what their new output levels are.  If you have a device that has higher output capacity than the base, 2.6 software will unlock output as noted in the release note.

Thanks all.

  • I have just upgraded to 2.6 and I like some of the improvements already (the ML popup window for example). However, I think I may have lost out on a free upgrade of outputs. I have a Nomad system, initially with 256 outputs. I paid to upgrade it to 512. Now I see that if I had waited I could have got that upgrade free. If I had 1024 or higher, I would now have 6144. I seem to have been caught in the middle of this shift of policy from ETC with no free upgrade. I know that even if I had been given an upgrade to 1024, I would then need to purchase a new gadget 2 to get access to them, but Just feeling a little left out when others are getting free stuff!!!

  • Just wondering if there is anyone else out there in a similar situation to me on the recent upgraded address count issue? If I had just bought a second 256 dongle, I would now have two 512s, but because I went the upgrade route, I am caught in the middle and got no advantage from the recent change of policy by ETC. As a person on a tight budget, I just wonder if ETC could see their way to accommodating others in my situation .
