2.6. and WYSIWYG

Hi! I have a problem getting 2.6. outputting into WYSIWYG. The sACN stream works for some minutes and suddenly shows random data in the sACN Viewer. It worked well with 2.5. WYSIWYG relaese is R39. Do you have changed something?

regards

  • I am having the same problem with Capture. Running Nomad In Offline with Visualizer mode. With 2.5 it would occasionally flash to 255 or out to 0. I always assumed this was to remind you that you weren't using offline mode to prevent someone from attempting to use it for a live system. But it always went right back to being usable with the visualizer as soon as it flashed. Now a bunch of channels go to full and they just stay there for several minutes and then it blacks out. Only way to get it back is to take everything to full then back to 0 and it will work for a few minutes before doing it again. It seems to have rendered Offline with Visualizer mode completely useless.
  • I'm experiencing the exact same thing in Capture Atlas.
All of a sudden all my fixtures go to full, some even change colour and stay that way until I "pick the values up", or until a minute or two have passed.
It is really annoying and makes it impossible to work properly.

Every time this happened I also noticed a slight lag on the Nomad GUI.

  • This is a known issue when using Offline w/ Viz (i.e., without an ETCnomad dongle connected).

We're fixing this in the next patch (2.6.1), which we hope to have available in the coming weeks. It was introduced with 2.6.0, so a downgrade to 2.5.2 is a possibility in the interim. We also have closed beta currently active for 2.6.1 - if you'd like to give that a try, send Matt Pumplin an email with your forums user name and reference this thread. • : I did just that.
But I am really eager to fiddle around with midi-events, since 2.6 introduced 3rd party support, so I'll gladly give the beta a try.

Thanks a lot for the info!
