recording subs and groups concurrently

Is it possible to record submasters and groups concurrently...kind of like:

1 thru 7 at full record sub 1 and group 1 label foh works enter

I often use both groups and subs.  Subs, as I can assign them to faders and quickly bring up a look and grouips, when I need to pull the whole sub/group out of a cue.

Thanks

ps...Anne...I have updated my sig to note that I own an Ion...this would be helpful for all!

  • Patrick.... thanks for the product ID.  The short answer to your question is no.  However......

There are some things we've done to submasters in Eos/Ion that might help (most of these driven by as groups no longer contain intensity data).

    - The button above the bump button is a channel select for all channels stored to the submaster (collects channels just as the group button does).

    - You can, from the command line, select [Group] [Sub] [1] -- selects channels as above

    - You can, from the command line: [Sub] [1] [at] [50] [Enter] (same function as group 1 at 50 enter)

    - You can, from the command line:  [Recall From] [Sub] [1] [Enter] (sets the contents of sub 1 at full recorded values - same command as sub 1 at full enter).

You may find that you don't need to duplicate the group/sub values as much as you did in the past.   Then again..... :-)

    Hope this helps.
