Creating new fixture/template

Hi,

How to create my own template for the device which is not in EOS library.

I can add parameters for fixture and it works fine.

What I need is to add:
1. parameters with user names (there are no such parameters in EOS yet)
2. Images for gobo wheel (have prepared PNG, 128x128)

3. Can I do it myself?
4. Or I should ask ETC to do the template for me?
5. What time amount it takes ETC to support with a new Template?
6. Who I should contact with this topic?

On Congo I can freely do my own parameters and templates immediately.
7. How it is with EOS?

8. Why EOS doesn't have eg. Prism, Frost parameters, to use them with devices having this parameters?
9. I should use Beam Fx instead of Prism like it is now for CP Alpha 300 Spot HPE? It is really confusing.

10. Also it would be really useful to modify existing library template it there is a need, eg.: default value, ...

Thanks in advance.

  • Adam, what is your time frame for needing this profile?  We have a couple of options.  If you are having trouble creating the profile, we can either do it as a custom fixture and send it to you.... or with a few days, we can have the library guys create it and it will be added to the standard library.  Please advise.   Drop me an email at amvalentino@mac.com..... we'll take it the next step.

The tiles populated in the fixture editor are based on the parameter names that already exist from other library items.  Prism functions in Eos ARE actually called "Beam Effects".... its a broader name, so we could normalize the control a bit more.

We do not yet have a tool for importing custom artwork (on the list).  But we can include it on our end and send back to you.  Let me know.

    Thanks,

    Anne
