Using encoders in the Eos offline...

I am having a hard time figuring out how to enable the encoder wheels in offline. I am wondering if this is because I am not programming moving lights but trying to use them as the color wheel in picking gel values for scrollers, and though I had patched several channels as cxis or generic scrollers with a custom gel strand, I was unable to get the color picker working for programming the values of the scrolls in cues. am i trying to use this feature the wrong way?
  • Hi,

I don't think I am really understanding your question. Could you tell us if you have EOS or ION. Presumably you are using Offline on a PC, rather than setting your console in Offline mode.

To access the Encoders in Offline PC software, open up the browser and go into Virtual Controls. Here you can open up a tab with a virtual encoder page. The relevant keyboard shortcuts will change encoder page. In the Colour page you can expand your display to show all your custom scroll colours as patched. Is this what you are looking to achieve?

The Virtual Encoder display on the offline software is an EOS encoder display so may not be familiar if you are an ION user.

Apologies if I am teaching you to suck eggs, but some more info would help me answer the question.
