So on a desk when you press shift and hit GO on a cue stack, it eliminates timing so ostensibly you can punch thru looks quickly. It also eliminates closing out the command line on DIRECT SELECTS, kills your ability to deselect items in a MAGIC SHEET, and probly some other things that i dont know about. I'm running a nomad and use the virtual keyboard regularly. After upgrading to 2.6 i started having this problem, my cue timing would stop working entirely and direct selects would get buggy, etc. This is what happened:
I called tech support, explained my problem, and they determined that i had a stuck shift key on my laptop. possible but weird, so i brought a backup laptop in and replicated the problem, so not the computer. turns out it was the SHIFT key on the VIRTUAL KEYBOARD. i do lots of SHIFT/UPDATE saves. after a save, cue timing stopped working. even though the shift key wasn't greyed it appears to be activated. so i had to tap (grey) and re-tap to effectively UN-SHIFT the soft key. happened on both pop-up and tab keyboards.
called tech support back and had them confirm on their Nomad.
