Wishlist: Assign unrecorded targets to Custom Direct Selects

When I assign a range of targets to my custom direct select module, it only assigns the recorded targets, and skips all the unrecorded buttons. I should be able to assign unrecorded targets to the Custom DS, so that I have a range of unrecorded targets that I can easily create and record info into later.

A sort-of workaround is to create a range of targets in the Blind List mode, then assign them to the Custom DS, then delete them. But that leaves behind the category label (ie "Color Palette"), which makes for an unreadably messy module.

you already can do that. in Live, in the command line use Thru Thru.

e.g.:
with Focus Palettes 1,2,3,7,8,9
Focus Palette 1 Thru 9 and then double tapping a Custom DS wil insert 1,2,3,7,8,9
Focus Palette 1 Thru Thru 9 and then double tapping a Custom DS will insert 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

Thanks. But same problem with the unnecessary "Focus Palette" labels on the unrecorded palettes. It's very difficult to read.

Hey Litedesign,

I'm not sure I would personally consider this an issue... The label helps to describe the type of direct select target the box is set to. Are you suggesting that the box should show the colour and target number only?

If it has to have a label to describe it, then maybe the label font should be smaller, and abbreviate to “CP” instead of “Color Palette”
