Feature request: Accelerate and decelerate moves

I would love to be able to decelerate for example a simple live p/t move - similar to easy ease in after effects and such. Slow p/t movements would greatly benefit from this and would make the move subtle and calm instead of a wall hitting stop of the movement.

Also, having the control of the length of de/acceleration would be awesome - for example having a 5 sec pan start decelerating at 4sec into the move, making the the last sec of the move slow the movement linearly until its in place. Does that make sense?

Curves could maybe do this?

Thanks!

  • Curves are absolutely the way to do this, however, you need to Part out the moves you want to put a Curve onto.
A curve applied to the main Cue or Part1 will only affect intensity. So moving your Focus values into a seperate part and then applying a curve will dampen the movement. I found that the internal S curve is not quite smooth enough, but a quick edit of it will get you something desirable.
The good thing about curves is it will only smooth the start and end and you can adjust timings in the cue as much as you like, without having to adjust accel/decel values constantly.
