I have a bank of Color Temperature color palletes built and when i load them into direct selects. the chips appear but they are all white. i guess the software can see colors in the color temps. any thoughts?

I use MS not DS but it should work the same. The linked colors are based on the red green and blue [Edit: and white] parameters Not the actual color output of the light Try something like this:
CP 32= red 100 green 100 blue 90 color temperature 3200K ColXfd 0
CP 56= red 90 green 90 blue 100 color temperature 5600K ColXfd 0
This isn't going to be the exact color but you don't want that. You want a quick reference.
