Slow start up EOS 2.6 on Element XP

Is there a text you can see on screen for a long time? What is it?

Just did a restart to better document this... the first slowdown is the white text on a black screen that ends with ...DHCP. it takes 3 minutes to complete the string of dots. Then I get different text that ends ...exiting intel boot agent. This is where it seems to hang about 2 minutes... then there is a lot of screen blinking when the big element logo comes up... the it hangs about 3 minutes at the small element logo and then the primary/shutdown window pops up next to it... hope that better describes it...

yep. unplug the network cable. if it boots faster, you need to either disable "boot from LAN" in Bios, or take the FileServer Entry out of the Setup .

OK, now its frozen on software shut down... asking how I want it to shutdown.... can't click on anything... Luckily show is over....

Interesting that it took about 7 minutes for it to complete software shutdown, and I got crazy DMX reflections, about 5 instruments popped on... I think it might be a call to a service tech in the morning...

and regarding the the dmx stuff while shutting down, make sure you're running an up-to-date version of output card's firmware.
