Absolutely No Displays

I currently have no information going to either of my DVI monitors on my Ion 1.4.1.

How I got here:

Upon power up, only one display was receiving information.

I exited ion and went into monitor arrangements advanced and found  that monitor two was not enabled. I checked the mark to enable it and set the resolution to match monitor one and then clicked apply. After doing this, both monitors went blank. HELP!

  • The monitor resolution settings were not where you wanted to go.   If you go into the shell, under Settings, there is a tool for monitor configuration.  Go into this and press identify, and then place your monitors.  At the moment, in 1.4.1, in your monitor config, monitor 2 must be to the left of monitor 1.  In 1.4.2, which will be released in  a couple of weeks, it won't matter.  Try this first.  If that doesn't work, please call tech support asap.

    Thanks!

  • Hello Anne,

I was also at the venue when this happened.  We were able to finally track down a VGA cable in the space and dropped the patch to another ION to use for focus as we tried to troubleshoot this one.  We could get the VGA monitor to work but we could not get the DVI monitors to work no matter what we tried.

Something similar to this happened to Victor during our EOS training session.  The only difference was that we only lost monitor 2.  We re-configured it like you had mentioned but it wouldn't come back.  We have 6 monitors total between our EOS and 2 ION consoles so we tried changing them around to see if it was a monitor issue but that didn't work either.  Eventually it came back after sitting idle for a week so I'm not sure what happened.  I'll have to call tech support when I get the chance today.

Otherwise though, these consoles have been great for us!  Thanks Anne.
