Load button on virtual faders not working when in 2x or 3x

maybe i'm misunderstanding how you're trying to load, but the 2x/3x is not a property of the sub or the cuelist, but of the faders...

Right. In Fader Config, some faders are set to 1x mode and some are set to 2x mode. I can hit [Sub][1] and then the load button on any 1x fader, and it loads Sub 1 to that fader. If I hit [Sub][1] and then the load button on a 2x fader, it highlights that load button but doesn't actually load anything to that fader.

Also, if I load to a 2x fader using Fader Config, the Load button works just fine for unloading a sub, but after I unload it, the same Load button won't reload the same sub.

i set a a fader to be 3x in Tab 36. then i went to Tab 28 and typed Sub 101 and pressed the load button of the triple fader and it loaded. Shift Load unloaded and Sub 101 with the load fader worked again.

I have isolated the problem further. I had been using fader buttons as macro buttons on my 2x faders. The load button on a fader doesn't work correctly if there is a macro button assigned anywhere in the set of 1-3 faders, regardless of whether the set is 1x, 2x, or 3x.

I've reproduced this on a classic Eos running 2.6.1. Once you change the bump buttons away from macro the load button works.
