Why can't I rotate a monitor into portrait mode on the Gio?

We recently purchased two new monitors for our Gio. One was a Planar PCT2235 touchscreen which works perfectly, and the other is your run of the mill 1920x1080 monitor from Planar that I don't know the model number of. We're driving both over DisplayPort. I would love to be able to rotate the 1080p monitor into portrait mode to use it as a long cue list. When I go into the shell and go into display settings, there is a rotate option. If I press it, the monitor in the shell shows up as rotated 90 degrees, but as soon as I hit apply settings, it reverts back to the way it was. Is there a resolution issue that I'm not aware of? Should I use HDMI instead of DisplayPort? Let me know if you have any ideas. Thank you!

  • Hi!

In monitor arrangement you should be able to set the monitor to portrait or landscape and have it stick. You have to hit Apply and then "Keep Changes" on the next screen. If you are doing this and it is still flipping back, then we can try setting the resolution smaller and seeing if that allows it to rotate, but to the best of my knowledge you should not need to do so.

    Thank you,
