Feature Requests: Magic Sheets "Background" Behavior for objects.

Magic Sheets "Background" Behavior for objects would be great. I would love to make a drawing in the Magic Sheet Blind editor and tell the object to be a "background object"--much like the plot image file I've imported already. This would require a new layer to be able to edit as the background only. The frustrating part of the current method is that, when in editing mode, objects that are really not part of the lighting get in the way when you try to select multiple lights by dragging over them or when you are trying to quick number a few lights and you accidentally click on the underlying shape behind your lights. (The pictured example is of a helipad I drew as we arrived on a location which was nice in LIVE, but frustrating in BLIND for the reasons mentioned.)

Also, I would love for the LIVE values of channels to return to the Live Table Display (now in Blind) when you are in a Blind Magic Sheet. I believe this behavior was broken around 2.4. I miss it because I cannot edit a Magic Sheet and still see what is happening on stage at the same time--which is quite valuable to me.
Thank you!

  • As a workaround you can save screenshot of MS once you've messed with it and re-import that back into the background, it's not ideal and I agree there should be a way of setting objects as background, but there would need to be a way to select the objects and bring to foreground if you happened to change your mind.
