I have four Robe Robin CycBar 15's and my LD would like a fire effect to run across them. I've got them in mode 4, and have pixel control when I do it manually, but pixel mapping them with the Gio's pixel map engine is not working.
I can confirm that my pixel map server and layers are correct, and on the Eos pixel map visualiser the effect looks right, but in real life on the fixtures they're just doing their own thing. It feels like Eos doesn't understand the fixture's DMX protocol??
I've tried patching the fixture's RGBI addresses as individual Generic RGBI (8B) pixels, which in theory should work as the dmx chart for the fixture suggests that the individual pixels work in that order, but I'm still having no luck. The colours are all over the place, and even changing the colour of the pixels in this situation actually makes the real life cycbar look like its flicking through effect macros.
Either my dmx protocol sheet (which I took from the Robe website) is incorrect, or Eos is having serious issues understanding what I'm trying to do.
I've also tried repatching it as a CycBar again but trying a linear effect and this isn't really doing it either.
Does anyone have any ideas for how to fix my pixel map, or how to create the fire effect in another way?
