Connecting Nomad PUCK to Luminosus - how?

did you check that the puck's Eos software version is new enough?
did you check that in the puck's shell, settings, network, OSC is activated?
did you check that the puck's and the Mac's IP addresses are in the same subnet?
did you check that the Mac's firewall is off?

how do you connect puck and Mac?

software is up to date OSC activated
I copied the IP address from the puck into luminosus
Firewall is off

I connected them with a UTP cable

Normally I can connect my laptop mac luminosus, to our Elements desk without problems
With the puck it doesn't work..?
Luminosus keeps saying 'Timeout'

Starting with basics can the machines ping each other?

Yes the Nomad can ping the Mac. I got a bit further with this.
I use a TP link.
And yes, I can connect Puck Nomad to the Mac and to Luminosus.
What I can not do, why, i do not understand: I can not run eos software on the mac in CLIENT.
Why would this be?

IP addresses the same but 1 digit different at the end.
Subnet the same.
Luminosus is now working good via router with puck nomad.
But: impossible to run nomad on the mac as client from nomad on the puck, why ? I would like to understand....

without any connections, can you start eos software as master (I guess not).
Maybe your Mac does not see the dongle?

I have this right know on a PC running Win 10...

I managed to find the nomad puck as a master, but could not connect.
Although i have spend time making sure they have the same softwhere, I still got an error message, maybe the fixture library is not the exact same I guess..
I will get back to it another time. thanks

Yes i can start nomad as master on the mac, no problems there, dongle is fine.
