EOS Classic Mirror mode - screen columns shifting back and forth

System:

  • EOS Classic Console as Backup, with 3 external screens (2 at 1920x1080 resolution)
  • EOS Classic RPU as Master
  • EOS Classic RVI as client
  • Nomad on Win 7 laptop as client, mirroring Console (laptop display and external monitor both at 1920x1080 resolution)

The laptop is mirroring the two 1920x1080 external screens from the console. When a PSD column was resized or moved on the console, the laptop PSD columns started to shift back and forth. This stopped when the laptop was taken out of mirror mode and resumed when put back in mirror mode.

Unchecking the checkbox for the "Notes" column on the console PSD display stabilized the display on the mirroring laptop.

  • I don't have any real answers for you, but in my experience, a whole lot of display troubles are caused by the main & mirror having different display resolutions.
You'd think that Nomad would just process output data, but it processes display resolution data as well.

Try making all devices the same resolution & see if that helps any.
  • Yep - the console displays that are being mirrored and the laptop displays are all 1920x1080.

It seems that the laptop is fighting with the console about the column arrangement in the PSD display, causing the flickering back and forth. Since we don't need the Notes column for this show, deselecting it on the console PSD fixed the problem.
