Go to cue next macro

This may be a total no brainer, but I couldn't think of the answer.

We are currently doing a show with a lot of light switch cues. However, the actors do not always remember to hit said light switch. My work around has always been a quick Go to Cue_next_time_5.

I'm having someone take over the show for me in a week who isn't as familiar with the board, so I have made a Macro that does the same thing. However, on some of the cues, while the up is in a 0, the down might be in an 8. Is there a way to make the macro change just the up time? and keep the original down time in the cue? I would imagine it can be done, but I wasn't sure of the syntax.

Thanks in advance!

  • There's probably more than one way, but just off the top of my head:
Break each of those cues into two separate cues for up and down. The up is the first one and the down is next. Use {Follow} 0 for the down cue.

Edit: That doesn't work. [Go to cue] doesn't activate the follow cue unless you use {complete} and if you do that it doesn't use the downfade cue's down time.
