Sequential Fade

Question

Hey all, 
 I'm pretty new to both ETC. and lighting in general, forgive the noob question: 
 I have 5 rows of simple wash lights and I need to make them fade from FL to 0, sequentially - one row at a time, across a large room, with maybe a 3 second fade on each row. Luckily, or maybe not, each row is a single channel (i.e. row 1 = ch. 700, row 2 = 701 etc.) What is the best way to do this? A multi part cue? I'm using Nomad w/ a remote processor (no physical board).

Multi part cue does this really nicely. One channel in each part and set the timings of each part as required

as per Mike's reply: Each part of the cue would need a separate DELAY time. OR 
 
in a single cue, channels 701 - 705 delay 0 thru 12 enter. update/record enter. 
cue time of 3. 
Hit go: 701 starts fading in Time 3, 702 starts running its 3 sec delay, 703 starts running its 6 sec delay, 704 starts its 9 sec delay . . . 
 
(This is called Discreet timing: each individual channel can have it's own timed fade/delay/follow recorded within a cue.) 
 
if the wash rows had different channels within them (row 1 = 701 - 704, row 2 = 705 - 708 etc), program groups Group 701 = channels 701 - 704, group 705 = chan 705 - 708 . . .) and apply the discreet delays to each grouping of channels.
