I have a PC. It also works on a Mac but I never use it.

The next version, now in beta, is replacing the OpenGL drivers with native drivers in both Windows (DirectX) and Mac (Metal). Lars announced it in Capture's most recent video blog youtu.be/DK1EydscUOE

You might also consider WYSIWYG from Cast Software. They are headquartered in Toronto.

Connecting to visualizers is no different than connecting to dimmer racks!

The key thing to all this is the protocol standards. DMX, sACN and ArtNet (sort of) are industry standards and multiple manufacturers can use them. Just as you don't worry about an Eos running Strand dimmers or a MA running Sensors you don't need to worry about visualizers.
