Import a fixture profile

i don't think there is an xml import for fixture profiles. what's the fixture?

That's an MA2 fixture profile.

If you can send us a copy of the full fixture manual, we can work on getting that into a library update.

I'm betting a manual doesn't exist for these...I asked them to create an EOS family profile. We shall see. If I strike out, maybe I can glean enough information from the XML file to create a workable profile...Thanks!

I don't know this specific manufacturer, but the most helpful thing would be to make them publish a manual. That way ETC can build a profile to have in the library.
And from experience, don't expect to get a functional profile from the manufacturer.

But the Dropbox file looks simple enough, should be done in 5 minutes of you want to give it a try yourself

I've been working on this profile and I think I am making it harder than I need to. From the manufacturer, this fixture is like a Sharpy Standard fixture. There is an existing Sharpy Standard profile. There is also a profile called 7R 230W Beam 16ch profile. The XML - Grandma2 profile I got from the manf. has almost the same data but in different order.

I'm not quite sure what to do from here... I appreicate everyone's kind comments!

changing the order is especially simple: go to patch, {fixtures}, arrow to the 7R fixtur, {Copy}, {Edit}. in the column DMX you can say which slot of the profile does what. so from top to bottom instead of 1,2,3,4 you could say 4,2,1,3.
some parameters might also have a number in the DMX *and* in the LDMX column. those parameters are 16bit and need two DMX addresses.
