Select Last behavior

Along a similar line, I often get frustrated if I for example use the syntax [chan] [zoom] [@] [50] [enter] then want to put zoom at 60, but have to select the zoom parameter again, instead of just [@] [60], which puts the intensity to 60%. Could the command line remember which parameter was last used. This could just be until the command line is cleared, another channel is selected??

I think we are asking for the same feature in a slightly different way.

Graham, when you are setting zoom, you don't need to use the [at] key. In this way, its completely consistent with setting intensity.

[1] [at] 5] [Enter]

[at] [7] [Enter]

[zoom] [5] [Enter]

[zoom] [3] [Enter]

If we make the [at] key apply to the last parameter you'd entered on the command line, before you return to setting intensity (the most common thing to do with a fixture on the command line), you'd have to press the [intensity] button. I think that would be bad. Does that make sense?

Tim, so very sorry not to answer your question.  We've currently got a bit going on with [Select Last].  At the moment, we are planning to use it to repost your last command, not just your last channel selection.  So, pressing [Select Last] once would reselect your last channel selection, and  pressing the button twice would repost your last command line.... Your thought seems like something in between.  Am not really sure how to accommodate both needs with that one little button.   And we've also talked about using [Select Last] to step through your command lines in reverse order.....   am interested to know which, of all of these things, you all would find of most usefulness.

Hi Guys.  In answer to both of these last two posts.... Tim, good... glad to know that'll work for you.  It is our intent to allow you to step backwards through your command history - and yes, will probably be with the Next/Last buttons (provided that can work with no ambiguity vis a vis cue/channel selection).
