Timing on an Inhibitive Sub on EOS

I have tried putting timing to an Inhibitive sub but when I hit the bump button it won't take the time but instead justs bumps on or off. Is there a way to do this as there is with an additive sub. I would like to be able be able to trigger the sub with a macro in time.
