Nomad on Mac as DHCP Server

I'm using Nomad on a Mac desktop via an Eos programming wing and am attempting to use the Mac as a DHCP server to connect a Response 4 port gateway via an unmanaged PoE Netgear switch. I set the Mac IP address as an Eos console of 10.101.90.101 and a SubNet of 255.255.0.0. I've set the Sharing options from the ethernet port to share addresses. The gateway requests an address but defaults to a "network not found" address. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing incorrectly? Also, I have an Airport Express that I'd like to use for the iRFR. Should I perhaps use the Airport as the DHCP Server?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

  • They usually have DHCP enabled to a 192.168.x.x range, depending on brand. They always have a few settings available even if it is 'unmanaged'. Try opening it's IP in a browser, look on the device for a starting point, they sometimes have a URL to be friendlier. If it were me, I'd let the switch be the DHCP, but maybe set it to serve the 10.101.x.x range.

If you use your airport it will need the same basic adjustment.
