Using aSCN to connect to a fixture?

Hi

We currently purchased some new fixtures (Elation Artiste DaVinci) on this fixture you have the options of DMX, Art-Net, aSCN.  I set the Fixture to aSCN, assigned it an IP address 10.101.50.200, set it to universe (5) and connected it to the switch via RJ45.

The ION does not see the fixture. am I missing a step in the configuration? Net3 concert does not see it.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • I will hand out a warning for mixing Elation and ETC with sACN.
    I tried running the nodes from Elation with a ETC desk over sACN but it flickered. Elation nodes can't handle the per channel priority in sACN from ETC.
    I don't know if this makes any problems with the lights if you do directly, but good to know.

    I was able to resolve the issue with ETC Support. We have two ECM+ racks that were running on the 3.0 firmware which can only work with sACN Output protocol set to "Draft Version (v0.2)"

    I used UpdaterAtor to update the firmware of my ECM+ racks and changed the sACN Output protocol to Release "Version" Now everything is working as it should.
