Old Ion upgrade to 2.7

I'm running the Ion Windows XP version. If I have my facts straight, this is the older of the two versions available, XP and 7. Either way, I know it's the older version.

I read somewhere that 2.7 will have features available that are not compatible with the older Ion. Does that mean I shouldn't upgrade to it when it comes out? I'm not sure if it's just some features or a major change that could screw up my board.

Let me know what you think.

The software will work fine on an Ion XP, just some features will not be available.

her already are feature in missing with the currently re,eased software, like the ability to run multi-touchscreens, using USB-MIDI, USB-OSC or using Gadget II as additional DMX outputs.
the big thing in 2.7 you will miss on an XP console is the upcoming full manual inside the console. not sure if there's other additional stuff for that list though
