Releasing cuelists back to 'house' look?

Hello! I don't know how best to phrase my question, and I apologize if it has been answered before somewhere.

I have a base look cue list (house lights - if you will) and I have multiple other cuelists for songs that will be playing in my venue. I would theoretically like to keep the 'house lights' cue list running in the background at all times, and have the end of my song cuelists release back to it once the song is over. 
 
 Have you done this successfully before? If so what way worked for you? So far I have tried a release macro and a 'goto cue 1/1' (house lights) in the EXT Links column but that didn't seem to work. I am not primarily a EOS programmer so my syntax for things is probably off.

ok if you are running like that, you should be able to just use a link on the last cue in the list to link to the cue in the house cue list you want to go to. (when it does the link that should cause it to assert both moves and tracked values in the house list)
