OPENING .ASC FILES AFTER IMPORTING

So. I have a 24/48 Express board - WE are moving to the ETCNomad with the gadget and dongle on a PC>
Trying to import shows from the Express to the Eos

have converted .shw to .asc

Have gone to the Import window onthe EOS - Imported the file - Says "SUCCESS"

but the "show" is not loaded into the fancy new system.

ANy hints?

  • Once an .asc file  ( from the conversion of a .shw file to .asc)  is imported, it does not show up as loaded in ETCNomad.

It imports and Says "SUCCESS", but does not load as a show... the current show loaded at the time does not change

Of course I can not save as an .esf  file since

Admin Note: Joined with previous thread that was moved from Cobalt to Eos forum since issue is related to Eos import of USITT ASCII file.

  • Hi Ed,

I moved this thread since you are working between Express and Eos software and not Cobalt software.

When importing a show file from ASCII into Eos, the showfile name at the top of the screen will not change until you save the Eos show file.

Can you explain more about what data is missing when you import?
