Programing subs

Need help. Using an Ion trying to record the "shutter strobe" function on a Lustr + to a submaster where I can control the rate of it.

So far I've only managed to record the strobe fucntion to snap to 100% from fadeing the sub to 10% and it dosnt want to change value. (Stuck at 33hz)

The intensity of the light is on a different sub master along with the colour.

Any suggesion on how to sort out my idiosy would be much appreciated!!

  • Its also possible that the sub is set as an i-Master rather than proportional.

In i-Master mode as soon as you move it puts all the non intensity values to what you have recorded the sub as, where as in proportional they change as you slide the fader.

If the strobe varies if you just select the channel and adjust it on the ML control tab rather than using the sub, then its probably set i-master on the fader. If it doesn't vary but just snaps to the 33hz then it's probably as Ueli said and you need to edit the fixture. Although it seems a bit odd that etc have the fixture profile like that.
