Missing template in fixture library

you can of course make a new one or edit the existing one.

but you can also ask for it here. you should then post the link to a manual where the parameters and their slot number as well as their function are listed.

So we started doing one ourselfs but got stuck. We need the parameter to be called ndi capture (for example) but there is nothing like that to chooses. How do we add new?

You will need to decide from the list of existing parameters. Choose one that helps you remember what it does, no matter what it's called in the manual.

So when etc add fixtures in their library they ofcourse have another way to do it I guess. So they can add the words they need. We’ll try to remember what we call them. :)
Another problem we just found is that when we try to move a parameter to control, dummy (it’s one we just don’t need to change and dont want to see) it doesn’t change the parameter we’re working on but dmx 1 end up like a dummy instead. Are we doing something wrong or is it a bug?

there is indeed a bug in the fixture editor in 2.7.0. the fixture does follow exactly the personality, but you can't change the dmx number of a parameter within the fixture editor.
there is an open beta software version 2.7.2 that you could try. or you can use nomad 2.6.4 to edit fixtures to work around the bug.

ETC doesn't just add every parameter name that a manufacturer uses in their manuals. there is hamonization of a certain degree going on. so if a new fixture has a gobo function and the manufacturer calls the parameter "fancylittleimages", ETC would still have the parameter as Gobo_Select. you advantage is that you can select fixtures of various fixture types at the same time and control them at the same time, because their functions have the same parameter name.
