Master key (Load) on X-Keys or Cherry keyboard

Have you tried learning a Macro for that in Live ? I was successfull with that; see attachment.

yes, I already tried this.
The syntax is clear so far, but the macro loads cue #1 of CL 1 in the playback. So I need to write a macro for every Cuelist I want to load. I am searching for a solution that let me use a key on my X-Keys or Cherry with the same function as if I was using a console.

In the meantime I wrote a macro for every show we have.
For loading a different cuelist into the playback you have go another way, I learned yesterday.

you are totally right !

I have tried a new version which seems to work fine. As long as you type the Cuelist number you'd like to load onto the Main Playback (e.g. Cue 3/ Enter, then run Macro).

Does this work for you ?

sorry, but: How do I get LoadForGo into the Macro? I can not find the way.

Using only Fader_Load Master_User -1 doesn't work.

Sorry, I should have explained that earlier.

I just learn the Macro in Live with any of the Cuelists and then I edit the Cuelist specific things out in the Macro Editor.

Before editing, this Macro looks like this:

Then I delete "Cue 1/" and "1" after "User_Cue".

Does that make sense ?

my fault, thanks.

I tried it, but it doesn't work. Pressing GO after running the macro will run the next Cue from the former loaded Cuelist.

To explain:

Current CL is #1, Cue is 1/1.

I type "Cue2/" and press Enter.

Then I start the macro.

Then I press GO.

Cue 1/2 is running.

I type "Cue2/" and press Enter.

Then I start the macro.

Then I press GO.

Cue 1/3 is running.

etc.

Macro is:

LoadForGo ◆
Fader_Load Master_User Cue -1 ◆


A way that works is:


Macro:

Fader_Master_User 1 Mapped_To Cue

I type "Cue2/" and press Enter.
Then I start the macro.
It types "Fader Load Master User 1 Mapped To Cue" and stops.
I type "Cue 2/" and press Enter.

Then I have Cue 2/1 loaded and it will run when I press GO.

But this is not the solution I was looking for.


Does the macro you wrote work on your system? Again and again?

in my case it does indeed work again and again. Very odd. What software version are you running ? I am doing this on v2.7.2.

I'm using Nomad with V 2.7.2 on a Mac (macOS 10.12.6) and on PC (Windows 10).
I haven't tried it on PC yet, but I will in the next days.
I'll check it with the show system.

Hi Tom,

 

I have attached my test showfile. There are 3 cuelists and Macro 1. It works if you Enter "Cue 1/ Enter" (or one of the other cuelists) and then run Macro 1. In my case it always loads the first cue of the entered Cuelist on to the master playback.

 

Does this work on your system, too ?

Typing and deleting... At the end there was a "Cue" too much in my macro. Sorry, I was blind or confused.
