Nomad Patch Database Can't Type Text Unless I Change Command Edit Mode

Windows Nomad 2.7.2

I'm putting info into the patch database for my show. When I select channels and click any of the "Text" database fields I can't type text unless I change the Command Edit Mode. This doesn't happen when labeling channels in patch, I can always type labels there without changing Command Edit Mode. It would be great to not have to switch modes all the time to add info to the database.

  • When you select the Textbox in Database mode, you get a list of previously used text fields to select from.
(This is primarily done so all of your text is the same value and you don't have a "Source 4" & a "Sorce 4" because you happen to suck at typing.)
but if you then hit Label key, you can easily enter a new text value.

LPT: I made a series of macros I keep on a direct select ribbon at the bottom of my Patch screen to fill in database fields with one click.
I patch a 19° & click my 19° Label Macro, it fills in data fields for Manufacturer, Instrument type, Beam spread, and wattage.
