Creating a recording macro

Good afternoon everyone. I have recently started working with a Gio@5 and I love it! I am trying to learn all about the different features that I may have ignored with the old Ion it replaced. So, I am very new to the macro world but I have an adequate understanding. However, this is one I don't know about. I would love to create a macro that adds in a particular sub group at the specified values recorded in the sub and then records it to the current cue. For example...This would be for vocal lights. Say sub group 39 is center vox, channel 27 needs to be @ 100 and channel 100 @ 45. That's how it's recorded on the sub. I would like the macro to add that sub with those fixtures/intensities, then record it to the current cue. That way if a vox light is overlooked during designing, the operator (with MUCH less experience) could easily add it. I know another way would be to teach them how to do it using a fader and the record button but if I can simplify it down to a macro that would be awesome. Thanks in advanced!!

  • So I'm having trouble with the recording my macro again. I have followed the info provided on the forum as well as what tech support told me. However, there's still an issue.

I have macros created to record vox lights as well as delete vox lights. On example looks like this... Group 40 Recall_From Sub 40 (enter) Select_Last Update Cue (enter)

A second example is to delete it... Group Sub 40 Out Select_Last Update Cue (enter)

The problem is it tracks through to the next cue. I am in cue only mode. If I select the macro to add the group sub, it will remain there into the next cue. Likewise for deleting.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!
