Patch Interface not the same from device to device

All devices on 2.7.2 build 17.

Took a show on an ION where the entire patch was interfaced to sACN and transferred to a GIO. When I opened the GIO in primary (ION was off the network at this time) the patch was correct but everything was interfaced to DMX instead of sACN.

Is there a reason for this? I'd expect it to be whatever it was saved as.

    I believe this depends on what you have set at the default interface for the console that you are using. This is a device setting in the shell. If you patch using the default interface and load the showfile on a console that has a different default the showfile is going to use the new info from the console it is loading on. That way you can move from venue to venue without having to select the output protocol.
