Gadget two query

Just to add on to this, on your screen you should have the address set under Gadget, not console- but the info still applies.

Yes,  my set up was/is as Sasha describes.

I was able to access and "change" the Universe/port address all to no avail. I have two separate gadgets ( a gadget 1 and a gadget 2). I cannot remember if I tried to do U2 with the gadget one.

I was able to note the serial numbers on the 2no. dongles I have.

I am up and working now so it will be a while before I have the time to have another look.

Did you address the fixtures to u2? EG ch 3@2/34 which would give you the output on the gaget DMX 2

Yes, the patch was accurate. I had done a patch up ahead of time for the fixtures. Modes et al were set correctly.

I even created a new show and started from scratch to no avail.

If I had checked prior to the venue fit up- usual tight time, I might have been able to see where the error/issue lies but that would be thinking...!

I wonder if perhaps the "Allowed Output Addresses" has been set to be only 1-512.  You can check this in About from a clear command line.

Hmmn. That sounds interesting. I will have a look. Did not realise you could limit the address count that way.

I checked the about section. You are correct in that the allowed output addresses are notes as 1 - 512 only.

The next obvious thing is; can you change this value or are you stuck with it.....?

Just to come back to this. I have not been present for the run of the show and have only now got access to the Nomad et al.

To confirm, the address limit was set to 1-512. I changed it in the set up to the normal access amount.

Thanks for the pointer. I do not think I would have found the answer otherwise.

Just found this online. I had the same problem, and it is now solved! Thanks to all!! Eamon, thanks for asking the question. Once I found the setting, all worked fine. Eamon et all to the rescue again!!
