XE bug or user error; Shift&Fader Page strange

So I attended the training class a couple of weeks ago and finally received my new XE 20. I decided to go through the training books item x item to help me understand things better and I am not sure if I have encountered bugs (known or not) or if they are just user error. I am only about 1/2 way thru so more possibly to come. I also contemplated putting them all on one post however things can get pretty polluted that way so I will be posting them individually.

If you have any suggestions, experience with them or know they are bugs please advise.

I will copy and paste this intro into each one for new readers.

When holding down Shift and Fader Page it switched to page 2 then did nothing after that. Book says it should reverse one page at a time.

  • I ran in to this in training as well. I believe it is a bug, but I don't remember seeing it on the list of things that has been fixed in 2.7.3.

    So I got just a tick more detailed and did 4 test subs. After clearing my subs from any Faders I hit Fader Page 1 and recorded sub 1 on the bottom left fader. (I am assuming Page 1 starts at the bottom an the pages count upward?) So hitting Fader Page 15 would put Page 15 on the bottom row?

    Anyway:

    I then hit Fader Page 2 and it moved sub 1 to the top left fader. I recorded Sub 2 on the bottom left fader.

    I then hit Fader Page 3 and it moved Sub 2 to the top left fader. I recorded Sub 3 on the bottom left fader.

    I then hit Fader Page 4 and it moved Sub 3 to the top left fader. I recorded Sub 4 on the bottom left fader.

    I then held Shift and Fader Page and it first went to showing Sub 1 top row and Sub 2 bottom row but every press of Shift and Fader Page after that only showed Sub 2 on top and Sub 3 on the bottom for one hit and Sub 4 on the top with nothing on the bottom for the second hit. I could never get it to go back to Sub 1 and Sub 2 showing until I went back to Fader Page 4. Then again, Shift Fader page and it showed Sub 1 and Sub 2 but only the first time. Then every time it toggled again between showing Sub 2 on top and Sub 3 on the bottom to showing Sub 4 on the top only.

    Bugggg????
