Arri Skypanel - Fan control - Fixture profile

Does anyone have an idea for a better Fan control implementation?

The current solution provided by ETC is to use the Fan Control parameter as a part of the color category. However, you usually don't want to save your Fan Control values in you Color Palettes, Cues, etc...

I tried to make a custom profile where the Fan Control is in the lamp controls category, but I can't add lamp control parameters to a new fixture...

Any thoughts?

You could just change the Fan control parameter to something else that in a different category like pick something that would be in a focus palette or in the beam pallet eg animation speed (at least it has the word speed in it). When you change it, it should keep the ranges so the buttons for selecting the speed should remain on ML control.

You can also always use the selective store commands to avoid recording the fan control in the pallet (or delete it out afterwards if you forget)
