Is ETC Ion possible downgrade to elder version? (urgently)

Hi, there~

I have 2 consols they're "ETC Ti _ version 2.0.0.9.0.3.(doing main-control)" & *ETC Ion_version 7.0.9.0.1(doing back-up)".

I know the machine doing back-up is needed they're in the same version, even update consol is easy, normal or good way.

But, we prefer to downgrade version for "Ion consol" as "Ti consol" is. So, is possible to do it, and how do I work it on "Ion consol"?

I didn't found version 2.0.0.9.0.3, only v2.0.0.9.0.149 I had download from ETC website. Have anyone know where can download v2.0.0.9.0.3 or past click-link in here that will be great.

  • 2.0.0.9.0.3 is not an Eos software version, you are looking at the wrong place. to find out the real software versions start the console and then with an empty command line press About. 7.0.9.0.1 is not a software version of the Eos software either.

if the Ion is an Ion classic you can downgrade to 2.0, but if it's an Ion Xe you cannot go below 2.6.4.

as soon as you have downloaded the correct file from the website, dnowngrading is really simple. it's the same process as upgrading. when the console detects that you're downgrading it will open a window telling you to remove the newer version. when this process including restart is done, start the installation again and it will install the older version.

you should consider upgrading at some point. version 2.0 is 5 or 6 years old, currently we're at 2.7.3.

the longer you wait the harder it will be, because the steps get bigger and bigger.

also: when making the ion the backup to your Ti remember that the lower output license of master and backup applies to both the master and the backup. so if you connect a Ti (master) with 24576 output addresse to an Ion (backup) with a license of 1024, your Ti will now also not output more than 1024 addresses.
