Ion XE Encoder display

Hi folks, first time poster here.

I'm getting to grips with my venues new Ion XE ahead of our Autumn season, and I have a question about encoders that was covered in one of my ETC training sessions but I can't for the life of me remember the answer to.

How do I configure my encoders so that they only show the parameters used by a device instead of all the parameters ever? For example, I have a large stock of RGBW fixtures in my rig and want to only see Red, Green, Blue and White when I hit the "Colour" key, instead of having to scroll through four pages to find the parameters I want.

Apologies if this was vague, wasn't sure how to phrase the question.

Thanks for your help in advance!

  • Hi Jeff,

Yes I've got my fixtures selected and have manual control. For clarity's sake, I've been keying in [Group] [5] [Enter] --> [Colour], which brings up Red, Red Orange, Amber and Green on my encoder display, and then pressing [Colour] again to get to Blue, Indigo, Cyan and White. I then have to press [Colour] twice more to cycle through Hue and Saturation before I can get back to the first page.

I know it's possible to configure the encoders so that Red, Green, Blue and White all appear on the same page. I just can't remember how to do it. If you have a tip on how to do this, it would be most appreciated Slight smile
