gio @5 offline

Hi I'm trying to work with Capture with a limited Gio@5 (4000 ch).

As I'm working offline, I thought that by just unselecting Sacn and selecting Edmx would work fine. But not!

I've tried to start as a primary, as a client ( but then unable to load the showfile), and offline ( No output from the desk).

If I try with a Nomad everything works perfectly, as I start as a offline w/viz!.

Why does the Gio@ has no w/viz?? 

Is there a workaround with the Gio???

  • The easiest thing to do is to run the console as a primary, straight into the Capture PC, and unplug it from the rest of the rig.

    If you can't or won't do that, you can set the Gio and Capture to use a separate subnet that the rest of the rig won't respond to.

    Offline w/viz is a deliberately inferior option in order to hamstring people who want to use Eos software on a PC without paying for a dongle. It makes the lights flash randomly. There's no need to use offline w/viz if you've paid for a Gio@5.

    It's about visualizing more addresses than the @5 is licenced to output. With a nomad you have a way of doing that, but apparently not with a gio...
