ETCpad problem

Hi Robert,

I'm sorry that you are having issues with your ETCpad. It sounds like the WiFi switch thinks that it is still off. If you tap that message, it should take you to the WiFi settings where you can check to see if it is enabled. Also, do you have the Ethernet module connected or is the ETCpad just running wirelessly?

You should not fear resetting as the device's core image contains our code so if you feel like trying the reset options that are presented, feel free to do so.

If you continue to experience this type of issue, you may want to call in to your local ETC Technical Services to troubleshoot in real time.

Forgot to mention. If we are setting up Wi-Fi and then "go back" to setup screen and re-enter WiFi it has turned Off (again!). Weirder and weirder said Alice.

i don't know if that's the case, but maybe you can't use wifi while the ethernet module is attached? has it previously worked in this setup?

That is strange. Try toggling to Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi on settings then power cycle the unit and then switch back to Wi-Fi.

I think it might not have caught that the property that was set for switching from wired to wireless changed.

Oh yeh! I'd had previously rebooted without success so completely powered down and powered back up. And, there they were (the Networks)! This stuff friggin scares me. We ran a remote on a long DMX cable from the Expression III for years and apart from tripping over the wire, charged around the stage with no problems! The price of progress I guess. But thanks for your help.

Think I replied to wrong message. "Yes", the ethernet module was attached when it worked before and still is. After a power down cycle (startsk) the pad is working as it should (finding nets). So I guess that's something we can add to our bench notes. Thanks again.
